Mommies that have used Mylicon for gas
DD has been having a lot of gas build up so the Ped said to try Mylicon.
Have you used this and if so did it work? How often did you give it to DC and did you give it to them directly in the mouth or did you mix it in the formula?

we tried it. Never helped. Only the gripe water helped

We did too.
Put it in every bottle.
Our doc said it is most effective when used on a constant basis.

i use it and it works. i also used to put DD on my arm face down and that seemed to help also rubbing the belly in and " u " pattern helps

What if they dont finish the whole bottle? Im afraid she is not getting the full dosage...

We squirt it in his mouth before the bottle. He actually gets excited when he sees the dropper.

We also squirted it directly. We never mixed it in the bottle. DC like the taste. It's not bad, actually. DW and I both tried some, just so we knew what it tasted like. (Plus, it helps with adult gas...   )

my DH is a gastroenterologist. He said Mylecon doesn't work. he said it only works in a test tube, but not in real tummies.
I wanted to give it to our DD, but cause of that we didn't.

Just put it directly in her mouth. That is what we did.
I fill the bottle with two oz of formula and then put in the drops. DS will drink that until there is no more left. Then I add more formula to the bottle for him to drink.

Really. Maybe it has the placebo effect. DS was cranky and fussy and once he got the mylicon he never got fussy again.

yes- but the dropper is the pits.I give him baby gasX, witht he dropper, on occassion. He loves it.

I give my son .06 before every feeding out of the dropper...as per the nurses in the hospital. He def is less gassy but we also changed his formula so it could be a combo of both.

i used it a few times but it didn't really help. the only thing that really helped ds' gas was time - i guess you could say he "outgrew" it by about 3-4 months.
