Mold disclosure
We bought a house about a month ago and I have been talking with the neighbors and they said the last people living there were planning on buying until they found lots of mold in the basement
I have seen it on the windows- and we know the bathroom downstairs was replaced where the mold was the worst but did the previous owners have to disclose the mold problem to us that they knew about

Re: Mold disclosure
I'm not sure about that, but your inspector should've picked up on that in the inspection...

Re: Mold disclosure
Did you know the bathroom was replaced because of Mold prior to buying? Also, the windows did you see that prior to buying or after? If so, did it come up and was there anything in the contract that said something had to be done?
I don't think there is anything you can do now, unless it was something that was written in the contract that the seller had to take care of the problem, etc.. you can try small claims court. I would call your Lawyer, does not hurt to ask if anything can be done, but I doubt it.
You can also try your Homeowners policy to see if something like that would be covered, esp if there is a huge problem hidden you might want to have an inspector come in and check our how big the problem really is.

I could be wrong since I bought almost 2-years ago, but isnt there something where the Seller pays you $500 to sign something at closing with respects to "You are buying the house as is"

there is something like that- but she didn't say she signed anything- or got $500
I would also call the home inspector about this as well- I am surprised nothing was found during the inspection
there might not be any recourse- but I would contact your lawyer
