MOH need advice...
Hey everyone. I'm the MOH at my sisters wedding in April and it's getting closer and boy am I stressing. I've never even been IN a wedding and now *BAM* in a MOH for my sister. I want everything to go perfectly for her. I even bought a MOH handbook.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of where to have the bridal shower...I can't do it at my apt it's way to small. And according to her guest list I need to assume if everyone comes it will be 30 women. Any thoughts/advice for this first timer?
TIA

What towns are you looking to have it?
My shower was at the West Sayville Country Club and it was great. My mom STILL talks about how amazing the staff was there! And I don't think it was too expensive bc my bridal party was paying for a chunk of it so I'm sure they were trying to keep costs down. Plus the food was great!

Are you in Nassau of Suffolk?
In Suffolk, I just went this past weekend to a lovely shower at the Irish Coffee Pub. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. They have several different rooms, and all of the rooms are really pretty.
If you're looking in Nassau.... My shower was at the Davenport Press. Again, fantastic food and service. It was very nice. We were either the only party going on or there was one other party upstairs. Either way, we didn't see any other party going on while we were there. (The Irish Coffee Pub has several parties going on at once -- but we honestly couldn't even tell. The rooms are pretty well isolated from each other and we couldn't see / hear anyone else. It was really nice.)
I've also had parties at Seventh Street Cafe in Garden City. The food and service have always been excellent. Most recently, we had my parents' 40th anniversary party there in 2006 and my rehearsal dinner there in 2007. One thing to note is that the private party room is in the basement (so no windows). However, it's quiet and private and very, very pretty. Seventh Street Cafe has menus and some pricing on its web site. They were great to deal with while planning these parties, too.

Re: MOH need advice...
Oh sorry I didn't even think of those details.
It will have to be in Suffolk. And here is the thing too....there are only myself and two other girls in the wedding party so financial help from them maybe non existant.
Thanks for the responses :) (Last question I promise) How/when should I send out invitations for that?) Oh this is all very nerve racking lol
