So much talk about NC Chat Icon But if anyone is interested in seeing model homes from TX, those are under 200K!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon You think NC is cheap, it 'aint got nothing on TX! LOLLL I'll share pics with anyone interested Chat Icon

I have looked at model homes in the Houston area (Pearland,TX) and I loved them all!

I think Texas has some laws surrounding mortgages- and that what my Dh does for a living- and if we lived there he would only be able to do then with in Texas- so it wouldn't make sense for us to move there!

Same here!!! NC was nice but still high in the 400's. I culdn't believe what you could buy for 200K in Houston. For 400K you get a MANSIONNNNNNN!! Seriously, with a pool house and all. Great schools.

My parents live in Sugar Land which is a suburb of Houston. It is nice there and yes you can get some beautiful houses for a lot less money. However, check the school districts. Not all are created equal. It is very hot in the summer. People don't spend much time outside there in the summer (they spend their time in a/c). I lived there for a year and went to grad school and I liked it. But I don't love it.
