Mini Staycation Location?

FH's birthday is on 12/18 and I wanted to have a surprise mini staycation on the night of the 17th. All the hotels close to me are kind of skeevy. Chat Icon Any suggestions for a hotel nearby that I could do this at? I want it to be romantic and a tad sexy! I'm in Suffolk if that helps. I've stayed at the Homewood Suites in Farmingdale but wanted to do a different location if possible.

Mini Staycation Location?

What about out near the vineyards? There are a bunch of b&b's. Some have Jacuzzi"s.

East wind - you could get massages (its kind of pricey, but you can do a couples massage that you have use of a private hot tub and then have side by side massages) I had booked this for DH's birthday when we were dating and it turned out he proposed the night before so it was extra special. I think you can also do chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in the room. If that's too much $$ what about the Hyatt or Marriott (in Islandia/Hauppage) - I don't know nuch abut either one, but I've heard good things

The Hyatt Place in Garden City is really nice, DH and I have stayed there a few times. The rooms are pretty big and it is right near Roosevelt Field Mall and the Source, so there are a lot of restaurants in the area.

How about the American hotel in sag harbor? You are right in the village, and the restaurant is great- it is so cozy in the winter.

Nope, DH has work the next day (at 3pm) so we need somewhere local.

Oh good! You will like it- the rooms are super clean and well done.
The little bar downstairs is cute and you can sit in the lounge area for drinks and apps- I had a great cheese/meat board there.
But the restaurant itself isn't great. Very limited menu.
However there are a lot of restaurants nearby that you could go to.
I really like the Wine bar that Pace's owns- Blend. Great for wine and tapas.
