MIL strikes again (hold me back LOL)
MIL looked at DS disapprovingly while holding DH's niece today and said
"In my opinion I don't think it's NORMAL for babies to crawl. None of my kids ever did, I don't think Ava will, she'll just go straight to walking. Don't worry, I'm sure he'd be fine, eventually."
WTH?
DS is 8 months, he started crawling when he was just six months. Pulls himself to standing, with no problem. How is crawling abnormal. I know she does this to get under my skin, but to pick on ger GC to get to me? She's friggin sick in the head...
I didn't say anything, should I have?

 Where on earth do people come up with such crazy ideas?  I probably wouldn't have been able to hold back, I would have said something about how crawling improves hand-eye coordination and is important for right brain and left brain development and then would have said how smart your son will be because he crawls.

Oh... and she said that DS should be talking more LOL! He says Mama, Baba, Papa. He's EIGHT friggin months! He claps and says BAP- just this week  . I think he's PERFECT, and I don't take anything she says to heart. I just hate her for being such a nasty vindictive biotch.

When Ava is knocking over liquor stores be sure to tell Grandma you heard it's related to not having left-right brain coordination & connections - all developed by crawling.

I definitely would not have been able to hold back, although I probably would have been so shocked. What a weird thing to say. I guess all of the crawlers in this world are just "not normal." It sounds to me like she's a little defensive because she feels like maybe there IS something wrong with not crawling. I do not like her. She is sick in the head - you're right. Thinking her own GS is not normal??
