oh my goodness...MIL strikes again
calls me today to say "i know you already have a dress for DD for her party, but i bought a beautiful dress...maybe shell wear this one instead" what the #$%@!!! is that all about? DH and i bought a dress for her LAST YEAR when we found out that she was a girl at 34 weeks....it wasnt going to be the dress for her party, but i went into the closet to seek out the stuff we bought that hasnt been worn, and i came across that dress and it is the cutest thing....but anyway, MIL wants to dress MY daughter on her FIRST birthday....my FIRST child, first everything for me, and SHE wants to dress her??? someone tell me why she is at it again?! she has had her kids, has raised her kids (has a girl too)- someone tell me why she wants to be the mother of my child too? i just cant stand it anymore......

Maybe she wants a do-over because she screwed it up the first time?

I guess grandparents get to overly excited sometimes, and it gets to be annoying.....My MIL can be that way too.

Re: oh my goodness...MIL strikes again
Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. She just sounds like a really enthusiastic grandmother to me. My mom does the same exact thing to me with Ava. I used to get annoyed, but it comes from a good place. Just do what I do, put her in the intended dress for everyone to greet her in and take pictures in, then, when she inevitably gets that dress dirty, you have MIL's as a back-up Do you know how many wardrobe changes Ava has on holidays? Sheesh, a million because everyone wants to see her in what they bought. It's a pain, but hey, what girl doesn't want more clothes?
