Re: might be a silly questions but..
You won't be able to start counting CDs til u get af. has your doctor come up with a plan and reason for not have af. I am assuming you are probably no ovulating.

I have PCOS and do not ovulate.
She put me on Clomid last month but I had a bad reaction. She then put me on tamoxifen for 5 days. Which did nothing. I just finished the 2nd round of tamoxifen but I don't think its working either.

i do not understand how she put you on clomid without having you menstruate first?

Re: might be a silly questions but..
what kind of dr monitors you? ob gyn? RE? this does not sound right at all. you need your hormone levels tested, you need provera to bring on AF so that you can shed your lining and start new cycle.
look for a new dr!

never heard of it and highly doubt it is correct. did she take hormone level test? how thick was your lining?

Re: might be a silly questions but..
this sounds strange to me too. i really cant imagine any RE starting a new meds protocol with someone who hasnt had AF in months. its very odd. especially then to start a third round of meds on top of a failure first & second round with no AF in the middle. AF regulates the lining and allows the hormone levels to return to a base state. its very odd not to do that at all before starting a meds protocol.

Re: might be a silly questions but..
I agree, a 2nd opinion and new RE is needed. Not having AF for a year is strange but not having proper blood work is even stranger. good luck!

Re: might be a silly questions but..

I have PCOS also. I never knew what cycle day I was on until they started making me ovulate. They also gave me progesterone. Once I was not pregnant after forced ovulation and embryo transfer, I stopped the progesterone and got AF. This would start a new cycle and then I finally knew what cycle day I was on. I know how frustrating it is. I fought this battle for a long time. I'm currently pregnant with twins, I hope this offers you hope. The journey is long, but not taking it leads you to no rewards.
