Mid Suffolk peds
Is anyone having an issue with billing now that they are affiliated with NSLIJ?
I just got a huge bill by my insurance is out of network-but it's not. And my insurance sent me a check, but shouldn't have. I know it will get straightened out but I'm annoyed it will be another hour on the phone ?
eta: this is the second time in a month and my other DD had a physical that day so I'm expecting another one

That is my ONLY complaint about that office is billing. I love our NP .. I love how fast I can get an appointment and how convenient their hours are, but I feel like every time I visit I have a billing issue.. but they normally do handle it fast on their own.. just forward your insurance check to them

Right! I like all the docs and nurses but billing is a nightmare.
I spoke to someone and it has to do with LIJ taking over and they are billing everything OON- so annoying but they said they will re bill when its straightened out.

Ugh. I used to love them, but I've had one issue after another with them, and I haven't even had to deal with LIJ billing yet! I need to schedule two physicals soon and if it ends up being a problem I think it might be the last straw for me.
Ever since Dr. Manners passed away there is less and less holding me there.

Yes. In fact I just called Cigna yesterday to see what was going on and they resolved it and actually mentioned that just yesterday Mid Suffolk called them with their new tax ID numbers (which was the issue) and now everything is squared away. It happened to me right as the changeover happened but my DS's two sick visits last week went through okay. It was an issue on Mid Suffolk's end thankfully.
ETA - I've been going there since 2008 and never, ever had a billing issue. They've always been great. The problem this month, which was my first ever, was all due to NSLIJ taking over.
