For those whos hubbies have done the surgery. Has there been any improvement? How long after the surgery have did you see any improvement? Was the surgery worth it?

Re: micro-varicocelectomy
It was an option for DH but the Urologist said that since we are on the young side and his is slightly imparing that we should try all other options first.
He was all for that too being its in an area hed rather not mess with. I dont know what the recovery time is for that though.

Re: micro-varicocelectomy
DH had it done a year before we conceived...I truly believe it made a difference in quality...
ETA: DH had bilateral surgery and one of the veins was the size of a thick spaghetti....the doctor said it is only worth to do the surgery if the size of the vericocele is significant....

Re: micro-varicocelectomy
Hi!
My DH had the surgery one year ago. We found out that his count doubled 6 months after the surgery (I think that was the first time we went for a SA). For us that might mean a difference between needing IVF and being able to conceive with IUI. We are definitely glad that he had the surgery.
