Re: Mexican restaurants

Marias in Nesconset, really authentic (mexican/latin)
Margaritas in Smithtown - SO GOOD! MY fave!
Quetzlcoatl in Huntington. Super cheesy decor but really really really good food and the service is some of the best I have ever had. Really go above and beyond.

Re: Mexican restaurants

I love Viva La Vida in Oakdale but I THINK it's more Spanish than Mexican.
Havne't been in a while though.

It's more Tex Mex but I LOVE Del Fuego

I haven't been yet, but my friends rave about Besito. They recently opened one up in West Islip.

Margaritas in Smithtown - SO GOOD! MY fave!
.

DH and I are dying to go here but we only remember on the weekends and it seems packed and not a good place for DS haha. I really want to try it.

Full disclosure, I honestly dont know the difference between Spanish and Mexican food Chat Icon so my suggestion(s) may be off base

Someone else mentioned Viva La Vida...SOOO good

If you aren't looking for a "fancy" place, Vallarta in Hauppauge is pretty good

Its on Vets - in the same shopping center as Five Guys, near the diner and Carvel. Almost where Vets meets 347. Side note: theres also a Halal place in the shopping center, i haven't been but i heard its AMAZING. Clay Oven is the name

Re: Mexican restaurants

Caracara in Farmingdale village (by Library Cafe) is soooooooo good. The only bad thing is the traffic/parking there.
