Metformin Help
What dose are you on? You can do a couple of things...step up your dosage...If you are on 1500 try 500 for a week and then slowly work your way up to your dosage...take it with food...take it at bed time...your body has to get to used to it but you have to be consistent

This! It says to take with food, but for me I find it easier if I don't. When I first started I had some issues but was fine within a few days.

Agreed... I take 1500mg and split the dose. I take a 750mg with breakfast or lunch.... and a 750mg with dinner. I have no side effects, but i've been taking it for 3 years.

I am on 1500 mg, the pills are 750 mg, one in AM one in PM. I am only on one a day, I can't make it to two. Thanks for your support. I will stick with it.

Metformin Help
My RE said it takes a few weeks for your body to adjust to it.
I'm on 2000 mg (4 500mg pills a day), and the first week I started with just 1 pill after dinner. Second week I bumped it up to 2- 1 w/breakfast and 1 w/dinner, and by the end of week 3 I was on the full dosage. I was lucky I didn't have any major side effects, but definetly work up to the full dosage.
