Metformin
Good morning ladies. I have a question about metformin. I am awaiting insurance authorization for an IUI which will take a few weeks. In the meantime I have been perscribed metformin, 500 mg. I take 1 tablet a week, then 2 tablets in week 2 and then build up to 3 tablets in week 3. Does it matter what time of day I take the pills? In the insert with the meds it says at night time. Also, when I build up to 2 or 3 pills a day, do I take them all at the same time or spread them out? Thank you.

I always take them together in the morning after breakfast (when I take my other vitamins).

I suggest taking them after a meal bc it's easier on your stomach.

I take mine right before going to bed all at once - I'm taking 2 pills, each one 1000mg.

Thank you so much ladies. And I just got the approval letter today from my insurance to go ahead with either IUI or timed intercourse with Clomid. WOO HOO!!!!!

They gave me bathroom issues in the beginning so I took at night.
