Metaform
Anyone here on it? I finally got in to see my endocrinologist, who is also an RE, we talked about stuff that's been going on and she took blood. She mentioned that I may have PCOS and once the bloods come back she'll have a better idea, but she mentioned putting me on metaform.
If you're on it, did it help with anything (weightloss, regularity of periods, etc)?
She also said something that had me  which is, if you have PCOS the best "treatment" is to get pregnant because it helps regulate your body.

i have been on it forever lol
it helps with my blood sugar..
i have PCOS as well and it def helped regulate my cycles somewheat as to go from never having my period to at least getting it every couple months to now about every 35- 40 days
people have said it helps them lose weight but for me i did not have that..but it is prob bc i am a fatty

metformin did not regulate my cycle but it def helped with the wacky hormone levels.
i didn't lose weight but i was average weight to begin with. it did decrease my food cravings A LOT. some people have stomach issues on it, but i did not at all. it actually made me more "regular."
being pregnant definitely made my PCOS symptoms go away completely. it was beautiful! all of the little things that i experienced from PCOS were completely gone while i was pregnant. now that im 11m post partum PCOS seems to be returning. although my cycle is a little more regulated than it was before (sort of).

I took it for about 2 years when I was first diagnosed w/ PCOS. For me, it definately helped weight control, getting my cycles back on normal, acne, etc. However, I had to be really careful w/ what I ate for the first few months because it screwed w/ my stomach. It made me super sensitive. Good news is that I ended up loosing a bunch of weight...however after about 2 years, I changed to BCP because the Metformin stopped "working" for my body.
