DH really loves this car. They start at 31K..I guess that's without 4 tires and a steering wheel.
Do you lease or did you buy?

Re: Mercedes C 300
My friend leases one and hates it. He claims the lower model Mercedes ain't what they used to be. (I don't have one - I'm just telling you what he told me!) I think you get more bang for your buck with an Acura, but that doesn't have the same name recognition.
My friend has one of the convertibles (a lower model) and loves it... but she said she's not thrilled with the service it needs. She's had several repairs she shouldn't have needed and, b/c she had them all done by Mercedes, they were $$$ to fix.
I can't personally say I'd mind driving a Mercedes, though...

yeah, I'm trying to convince Dh that that model which is the most affordable (if you can call it that) is not worth it.
I would rather have an Audi myself but I know we will end up with a Honda and a Camry. It's just the way it goes.
We saw the midnight blue Mercedes c 300 last night and it was gorgeous but was small.

The new C class is longer than the older one...and its comes with tons of bells and whistles...They can get into the mid 40's fully loaded. I was actually pretty impressed with the car.

Re: Mercedes C 300
My sister used to have it and we always joked that the C class actually stood for "crap class"...just didn't have the oomph of the higher mercedes models and is very small...she ended up trading it in for the Murano because she was so unhappy with it.

Re: Mercedes C 300
I hate the 2005
so a search on here- nothing but a nightmare- major problems to the point where they took it back early (2 years early)
service is $$$$$- you need A or B every 10K miles (includes an oil change)
A is about $250 - $300 B is over $400
the tires on the car - are Z rated- which means they go every 20K miles (same as on a real deal sports car)
I was very umpressed with it
for an entry leavel luxary car- I would go woth one that includes service- I think the BMW does
but on a positive note- I got the ML350 and I love it
it's about $200 more a month then I was paying for the C class- and totally worth the money- it's truly a Mercedes - the way I remembered the ones my Dad had when I was growing up
I have the teleaid service from them (onstar) and it rocks- get lost- press the button, flat tire- press the button, accident- press the button
need a 24 hour pharmacy and you guessed it- press the button- they find you one- call them- and then give you directions!
I am much happier with my new one- when I had the C class- I was at the service department so much - they knew me by name
but I will also add I love the service at huntington MB- they were above and beyond for me to make me happy after the C class nightmare- including my frist service free on my new one- which is very nice!

I have to disagree with this. Maybe it depends on the dealership that you used, because I know that things vary from one place to another...but I see what my DH's dealership does for its customers, and I think they are amazing to their customers. Then again, they are the only MB dealership on the island that has been rewarded for it's customer service for years on end...so again, it really varies from one dealership to another.

I have to disagree also that the customer service is bad- the guys at Huntington MB went above and beyond for me- I have never been to another dealership- but my service is always fast, I always get a loaner and treated very well!

I have the C Class 300. I love my car but the only negative thing I can say about it is my 6 CD changer recently got jammed which annoyed me being this happened about 1 month after I leased it otherwise I have no complaints.
