Mayo??
Hi everyone!!
So this is probably a silly question but I am still going to ask....Is it okay to eat mayonaise during pregnancy?? I know there is eggs in it but I dont know if that means it should be avoided...
I was planning on having some chicken salad but now am not too sure. HELP!

mayo is fine. i have heard to stay away from homemade mayo bc it could have like raw egg but regular old mayo is fine!

omg dh just bought mayo yesterday and i've been putting it on my breakfast the past 2 days b/c it's the only thing close to dairy i can actually stomach! i was totally wondering the same thing too -- whether it was safe!!! ahhaha

Mayo has been one of my weird cravings this pregnancy so i hope its ok! I did throw out my older jar and have been sticking to not keeping them too long. I avoid mayo in restaurants just in case they leave it out but i have cheated with that.

But I've been avoiding bacon this pregnancy. I know it's fine every once in a while, but I'm afraid that one good BLT will push me over the edge and I'll become a bacon junkie, looking for bacon fixes all over town.

hmmm... i guess the follow up question is.... is bacon safe?  i know that it's got nitrates and stuff as preservatives which aren't good but i'm assuming that's only if you od on bacon...

i've never seen bacon or mayo on any 'watch' lists for foods
so i'd think that both are perfectly fine during pregnancy. I've eaten both in the same same amounts as i would have before preggo
