Maybe TMI- Question RE Urine

This may be a little TMI, but I have a question. I have to give urine yesterday for life insurance and I noticed in my cup a small thing floating around. It looked like when you separate and egg and there is the egg white and yolk and then there is a little white thing. I had the little white thing. I had heard that in the egg it is what would have become a baby had it been fertilized. I have never seen this in my urine, but then again its not often I pee in a cup and see it. I have just started TTC and am expecting AF in the tomorrow or the next day ( or not at all!). any idea what that is?

I have noticed the same, in the toilet. I dont think it's anything to worry about. could be the very early stages of AF....

The white stuff that you have noticed is called corpus al·bi·cans (al'bi-kanz')

It is the white fibrous scar tissue in an ovary that results after the involution and regression of the corpus luteum.

It simply means it is a part of your corpus luteum that is sheding right before your AF....It does not mean that it was a baby....

If fertilization and subsequent implantation of the blastocyst does not occur, the corpus luteum undergoes apoptosis and after several months becomes the corpus albicans, a white scar. Luteal apoptosis involves a loss of LH-binding receptors and is mediated by prostaglandins. Much of the area of an aged ovary is composed of corpus albicans.
