Mattess Question
So we went shopping for furniture this weekend and one place swore up and down on foam matresses and another on spring mattresses. Does anyone know which is really better, does it make a difference, do you have any experiences with either?
Thanks!

Re: Mattess Question
The books say different things. If you go with the spring you want a high coil count. Bottom-line is that we should be looking for firm mattresses.
When we ordered our furniture at Behr's they had one brand of each to chose from. We went with the foam. In the end we agreed that if it seems to be a problem for the baby then we'll get another one.

Re: Mattess Question
I bought an innerspring cause firmness was the most important and we found the foam ones to be a bit gushy and heavy and on the pricier side.
I didn't want a heavy mattress to lift when i changed crib sheets at least twice a week.

Re: Mattess Question
I'm not positive on this, but if I remember correctly, Baby Bargains said that a foam mattress was better, but they're harder to get so a firm spring mattress with a high coil count would be good.

We went with a foam
us too! I think the foam are firmer and also lighter in weight so they are easier tp out crib sheets on.

Re: Mattess Question
as long as it's firm, it really won't matter.
