Maternity clothes (vent)

Every clothing store I've been to has the tiniest maternity section and such a poor selection of clothing. One store had like 2 racks of maternity clothes....that was it. I've resorted to buying plus sized shirts. Don't even get me started on the small selection of decent prints! Just because I'm wearing plus sizes doesnt mean I'm going to settle for wearing couch print patterns.Chat Icon I'm in the in-between stage and having a difficult time finding cute outfits!

ETA: The belly bands do not work for me, they make me feel like my pants are falling off. When I'm at work I feel undressed.Chat Icon I cant just unbutton my pants b/c there goes the zipper too.

Re: Maternity clothes (vent)

I don't even shop in stores anymore for maternity clothes cuz I get so aggrivated with the small selection, especially being plus sized, its harder for me so I just order off line now.

Currently JC Penney and Old Navy are my fav websites to order plus size maternity clothes from.

Me, too!!!!

And I shop for most of my tops at Lane Bryant... not maternity, but it still works. The empire waistlines work best!

Also, try the trick where you take a black, elastic hairband, slip it through the hole in your pants and loop it around the button. This worked better for me than anything! And it gave longer life to my "regular clothes" in that in-between stage.

At 29 weeks... I can't even imagine trying on my "regular pants" now! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I feel the same way. The selections in these stores suck!! Gap sometimes has some things. I have been lucky and been able to buy regular clothes in different sizes. But still it gets very frustrating.

Re: Maternity clothes (vent)

I havent shopped at H&M since I stopped fitting in their clothing Chat Icon (so like YEARS ago) I did'nt know they started carrying bigger sizes, so I will check them out.

I ordered some clothes from Destination Maternity but I ordered them too big (for later in the summer).

I tried the hairband thing with a rubber band. Big mistake!Chat Icon . I will give the hairband thing a try.

Thanks to you ladies for the advice Chat Icon

ETA: Im only about 7wks and I'm debating on letting it "all" hang out. (meaning my jelly belly Chat Icon )

Re: Maternity clothes (vent)

I found a few decent things at Kohls. I know the seciton is small, but with their sales and occasional 30% off coupons it's worth it!! I have yet to order from Old Navy or check out Destination Maternity. Looking forward to it though!
