When did you start wearing/needing them?

Re: Maternity clothes
I started wearing the tops at nine weeks but I'm pg with twins.
Some women as early as 12 or 13 weeks others 20 weeks, it all depends upon your body.

Re: Maternity clothes
I needed the bottoms pretty early on, like 8-9 weeks or so, although I tried to keep wearing some of my own pants.

Re: Maternity clothes
I was wearing my own pants with a bella band for a while and probably started wearing maternity bottoms around 12-13 weeks. I'm still not a fan of maternity tops, so I wear of mix of maternity and regular tops.

Re: Maternity clothes
For me, I think it was around like 15 weeks. It was during the summer, so I just started wearing more loose clothing. It started with the pants, then came shirts. Once I made that transition to all maternity, it was SOOO comfy! It's hard to not wear regular clothing, but so fun to be able to wear maternity!

Re: Maternity clothes
I already bought a pair of maternity jeans - I'm 9 weeks.
I have about two pairs of pants that fit me. And even those are very tight by the end of the day.
I'm going to get a couple pairs of those gap 0-3 month pants to hold me over.
Tops I think I can hold out on for a little longer. Especially since it's getting colder and I can throw on sweaters.

Re: Maternity clothes
I started wearing them around 30 weeks...i was lucky and carried small - around 25 weeks i bought pants one size up and wore them for a while - even at 30 weeks i only started wearing maternity shorts b/c i run a camp and didn't want to ruin my "reg" clothes!

Re: Maternity clothes
I think my days are numbered and I'm around 6 weeks...but mostly because many of my clothes were fitting snugly beforehand! Likely will need pants before shirts though!

Re: Maternity clothes
I'm at 15 wks, and still wearing my regular clothes. Not wearing any of my "skinny" clothes, but so far fitting into almost everything except for those really tight items. Right now though, i am wearing a new pair of Old Navy maternity pants that I swear I will continue to wear when I am no longer PG - they don't even look or feel like maternity - they are just comfy pants!!!!

Re: Maternity clothes
I wore some clothes in a size up for the first 4 months. Then I phased into those beginner maternity pants (zip up with elastic back) and now I am wearing everything maternity. The only thing I haven't gotten to yet is the full panel pants. I have been wear demi panels.

Re: Maternity clothes
I was plus size pre-pregnancy so my situation is different, but I'm 22 weeks now and I can still fit in some of my looser pre-pregnancy clothes. Basically so far instead of getting bigger, I've been getting firmer. Over the past two weeks, I have been noticing that I prefer longer tops and bought a few inexpensive items at Target.
In general though, I think everyone is different, so better to wait and buy a few pieces here and there as you need them because you don't how your body will be as the weeks go by.
