Did anyone have this test done? I had my ultrascreen and my numbers for down went to 1 in 327 which is normal but borderline. I worked for the doctor I see so he said he is doing it for peace of mind. One of the doctors in the practice said she wouldn't even do it because normal is normal. I got the blood drawn Tuesday for the MaterniT21 which will tell is if baby is positive or negative for down syndrome and the sex. Takes 10-14 days for results. Now this makes me want to know sex. Hope all is well with baby which I think will be but just so stressful waiting!!!!!

Yes I had it done. When I went for my 20 week soon there is a vein near the heart that s supposed to disintegrate and didn't. They said that could have been a marker for Down syndrome. Since it was only abloom test we decided to get the blood drawn for peace of mind. I know how hard it is to wait for the results. They were very agonizing days. I think our results came in less than 10 days and thank God everything is ok. If your numbers are normal but borderline I'm sure everything is fine. Oh..and we did have the sex recon formed as well. Try and relax...easier said than done but I'm sure it will all be ok.

I had mine back in less than 10 days. I told the dr I didn't want to know the sex. She wrote in big letters NO SEX on my file. I had a good giggle and ask if she could tell my husband that.

We had it. Took about 12 calendar days. And as you know we foud out the sex from the cvs but the maternit21 just again confirmed it :)

I am pretty certain we had our results before 10 days. Did it around 10 weeks and we did find out the sex.
Our ultra screen which we also had done,, showed great results but I did like having the more definitive answer.
Then at my anatomy scan they told us baby's kidneys were enlarged and we had to go for more scans because that could have been another marker for Down's syndrome, so I felt better still having the Materniti21 results already.

I had it because at my 20w they saw an echogenic bowel on my screening. I got the bloodwork done and all came back ok. It was an agonizing wait though so lots of  to you!!
