What a bizarre argument. I see people double masked and wearing gloves all the time. I see people OUTSIDE double masked. I think it’s odd but I certainly don’t care how many masks someone wants to wear.
My district sent an email this morning saying that masks are still required at all times.
Why only 2? Why not 4 or 5 masks? 6 might be safest actually.
Why breathe at all?
And yes, gloves are 100% necessary because the CDC has proven that the virus will absorb right through your skin.

Perhaps an external oxygen supply might be safest.

I've always thought gloves were ridiculous, you're still contaminating everything you touch. So silly. As for the masks, if someone feels more comfortable wearing one, that's fine. We are at the point where you don't have to, so someone else wearing a mask has nothing to do with my life and what I choose to do. The gloves don't either, so if someone really wants to wear them, more power to them. Just not sure it's really helping anything lol.

I’m vaccinated and wear one when my DS comes with me to the store since he’s not vaccinated and has to wear one. At this point, the only people I see wearing masks at stores are elderly people or people with kids. I bet in 2-4 weeks, even more people will ditch the masks.
The schools in my area are still requiring masks for the time being. The announcement on Friday was asking for the CDC to grant approval which hasn’t actually happened.
If your kid needs to wear a mask tomorrow and there is not AC, I highly recommend the disposal ones. They are much more breathable. My son’s class has AC but I’ll be melting on the second floor so I understand how hot it will be. My students also have the option to be virtual whenever they want so maybe some will do that Monday and Tuesday. On Friday, I reminded them to bring water, dress for the heat and to wear a breathable mask.

Our BOE had an emergency zoom meeting tonight and said no masks tomorrow. They felt the directive from the governors office should take precedence over the education dept.
They said (i listened in as they shared the link)..."let then slap our hand tomorrow, masks are optional as of tonight. "
They said a letter will go out shortly to the district.
This was about 30 minutes ago.

I’ve never stopped one of them to ask
I don’t know, it doesn’t really bother me. The ones in stores are usually older and if they feel safer with 5 masks and oven mitts on their hands that’s their business.
The ones who are running or biking in a mask must have deeper issues to think such measures are necessary but I see people do all sorts of stupid sh!t and unless it affects me I laugh and move on.

Our district retracted their Saturday announcement and now masks are required today but they are allowing frequent mask breaks. Many are keeping their kids home.

My school just sent a message out but said they may have to wear them Monday until they got confirmation from the governors office!!
Same with my school. Still have to wear masks this week
WAs in Connecticut this weekend for my son's baseball tournament, and did not wear my mask anywhere, not even in the restaurants. It was so nice.

Yes it was wonderful going out this weekend and all the staff were massless. It was just such a normal feeling. People are just so much happier without masks on and you feel it.
