Mark Zuckerberg Gets Married
A day after Mark Zuckerberg took his company, Facebook, public, the CEO updated his relationship status to "married."
Zuckerberg, 28, and his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan exchanged vows at a small ceremony in their backyard attended by less than 100 guests in Palo Alto, Calif., on Saturday.
Guests thought they were coming over for a surprise party to celebrate Chan's graduation from UCSF medical school, where on May 14 she received her degree in pediatrics. However, Zuckerberg and Chan had been planning the wedding for more than four months, according to a source authorized by the couple.
Zuckerberg designed Chan's wedding ring, a simple ruby sparkler, himself.
Guests dined family-style on food from the couple's favorite restaurants, Palo Alto Sol and Fuki Sushi. For dessert, they had Burdick Chocolate "mice" – whimsical chocolate treats made in the shape of mice – which the couple had on their first date.
The couple, who met while attending Harvard before Zuckerberg – who is now worth more than $19 billion – started Facebook, have been dating for nine years.
Zuckerberg, the subject of the movie The Social Network, had been in the news all week for the highly-anticipated stock offering of his company.

That's the first thing DH said when we saw this on the news last night.
They seem like a sweet couple. I think it's awesome that she's pursuing a career in medicine, because the fact is that being married to him, of course she'd be set for life. And it's cool that she's been with him from the beginning, before he had all that $$$$$$
I love how their wedding wa a surprised for the guests!

I'm sure she did sign a pre-nup, but I'm also sure that pre-nup guarantees her a LOT of $$$ if it doesn't work out.
This woman will NEVER have to worry about money EVER!

maybe they were waiting until after she graduated? Article said she just graduated on May 14.

am i the only one who thinks she just pulled her hair back and is wearing barely any makeup? i'm all for going "au naturale" but i thin you should be a little bit glam, if anything, on your wedding day.
i also think this dress is truky a hot mess. it does nothing for her body shape and looks terrible. the top of the dress looks like a crochet table runner my grandmother made for me that is sitting in the bottom of a pile i have somewhere

good for them... she has been there since the beginning and has pursued her own career in medicine. i'm sure she had to sign a pre-nup but they seem nice together.

I actually think she looks elegant and stunning. She is naturally beautiful and it shows here.
I also think she looks beautiful. In some of the pics they have shown she seems pretty laid back and it was a backyard wedding. I would think anything to glam would have looked awkward. I think she picked a great dress and is rockin it Not everybody wants to be super glam on their wedding. As for a prenup.......she has been with him since before he was Mark Zuckerberg Facebook CEO, and he has been with her since before she was Dr. Chan. I honestly don't think they did a prenip, but if they did I don't see it being unfair either. I think the fact that she continued to pursue her medical degree when her live in partner was a billionaire; is very telling of their relationship and respect for each other.

I think she looks great. Not the best dress IMO but it was a casual affair. Hope they have many happy years ahead of them
