Well this is the thing. Basic Training desensitises the soldiers so that they can take life if they have to without hesitation. It is to the soldier's benefits to not have feelings "get in the way" when they are working. HOWEVER, in this case I am sorry but W T H...why do they have time to "play" and make a video to shock their friends...and with such a disgusting display. Even if the puppy were all ready dead, they pretended or acted as though it was not and then revered at throwing it off a cliff...for what? Seriously, what was to have been gained by this?
And to add to a PP comments, many people who are abusive and violent toward people have a history of animal abuse earlier in life. So there is definitely a connection & the laws should be stricter.

This is what scares me about some of the people in the military. Sick and inhumane with animals means sick and inhumane with people. This is what we have representing our country. Obviously this isn't true of everyone in the military, but I've heard some people say some really sick things about the people they're supposed to be protecting overseas.

I think the sound was edited and the more I think about it I think the pup may have been alive based on the position of his hind legs as much as I'd like to believe the pup was already dead. It freaks me out that the pup has the same markings as my parents dog. I was so upset last night after this I had my dog stay in bed with me.
I don't understand how someone could do something like that- there is no excuse for such horrific behavior.

I have been sick over this since yesterday when I heard about this. I hope to God the puppy was not alive so I know it did not suffer. I have no use for scum that would do this..end of story!

I posted a link on this board on how you can call/email a complaint to the U.S. Department of Defense about this sicko, however, LIFamilies removed it.
I do not understand why it was removed !!!!!

Actually I requested it removed, I don't want them to get in trouble for it. There is no proof that that is the person in the video, he could be being set up.
