Making an Appt.

DH and I are going into month 6 of TTC and I am going to make an appt. with the doctor. Although I know there is an underlying issue with DH, I wanna make sure everything is fine with me. Can regular gyno determine this or can only an RE do this?

Personally............I HIGHLY recommend an RE over a regular OB/GYN. They are not specialists with regards to fertility issues whereas an RE is. An RE will do numerous tests to get to the bottom of your issues and offer you different courses of treatment to help resolve your issues as quickly as possible. The BEST thing I ever did was go the RE! After TTC for months on my own and with whatever "help" I got from my OB/GYN and getting nowhere..........I went to the RE and in 4 months I was pregnant.

Good luck!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Making an Appt.

I recently went to my ob/gyn and I was telling her about how we are TTC for 5 months now ( I lied its really 4) and she couldn’t so anything there but said she wants us to try 2 more times and if nothing happens she wants me to go get a "hysterosalpingogram" to make sure there are no blockage in my tubes. My dr. doesn't do the procedures so shes sending me to a lab clinic kind of like Quest Diagnostics.

Instead of going there and maybe being rushed out I would call and see what they might do, so you won't waited your time. They might just talk to you first and give you advice before they do any kind of testing.

Made an appointment with gyno for next week. I'll see if they can give me a recommendation for a RE.

Thanks ladies!
