Making a baby girl???
Do any of those trick work in order to conceive a baby girl? I have a boy now and while i LOVE having a boy, I'd love to have a girl the second time around since there is NO WAY we are having more than 2 kids.

I was told if you have BD a few days before you Ovulate the chances increase b/c boy sperm dies quicker than girl sperm. Plus girl sperm swim slower than boys.

TCOYF says pretty much the same thing. I don't know if the theory has been tested so who knows. In any case, just for kicks I tried this out when we were TTC for DD and it "worked" for us.
I would have been happy no matter, of course we really just wanted a healthy, happy child.

Even if you can slant the gender in one favor or the other, the father ultimately decides the gender.... if he is only making girl babies, then that's all you'll ever have. If he's only making boys, same thing.....

I read and used this book when TTC my DD, (my DH has 2 boys already from his first marriage) it worked, but it took a long while for me to get pregnant, because we were only BD'ing 2-4 days before ovulation. Also, I had a 50/50 chance so who knows how much timing really mattered.

I believe this is true as well. I have a dd & tried for a ds with #2. We bd on ovulation day, & I had a boy!! So if you want to sway your odds in favor of a girl, I would say, stay away from bding on ovulation day!

Ok, this question is coming from a girl who got pregnant on her honeymoon (first try), BUT if you bed before you are ovulating how do u become pregnant???

I believe girl sperm are slower & stronger then boy sperm. So if you bd before ovulation there is a chance the girl sperm will outlive the boy sperm. If you look up the shettles method you will find more information on it. It definitely helps to chart your basal temp. when trying!

Supposedly the girl sperm is slower and takes longer to get to the egg. Therefore, if you have sex a day or two before you ovulate the girl sperm will remain alive and reach your egg just in time for ovulation whereas the male sperm is really fast and will get there and die before the egg is released.
The timing can be a bi%ch unless you are really really regular.

Yes, that's what we did with the Deanna's plan. You BD before your ovulate.
DC is a boy!
ETA: the only way to really select the sex is to "wash" the sperm and it's done by specialists. It's a medical procedure. It's not 100% fool proof either.
