I'm majorly devoted to this show but I had to look up that last guy...the dude that chained Sayid to the swingset! I won't miss him but I did like Tom/Zeke. I figured Charlie was going from all the talk about his contract.

Ben shot him because Locke will challenge his role as leader - season four will deal more with who Jacob is, I think, and we need Locke for that.
Plus, fans would stone JJ Abrams for killing Locke.
