maintaining a septic system....
i always see the RID X commercials that say once a month to prevent problems.....
is this true???
what do you use to maintain your system???

I have been in my house for almost 2-years and have not done anything to treat the system. I was told that if you don't see signs of a problem, leave it alone.

I've read, and have been told by professionals that it should maintain itself, and using stuff like Rid-X can overstimulate the bacteria in there, and cause more problems than it's supposed to fix.
We don't do anything to maintain our system.
