Re: Magic Kingdom restaurants

I heard there is a italian place called Mamas.. its a bit wild but my sis said lots of fun.. the waitress act like mothers and yell at you if you dont eat all your food.

When dh and I went we really enjoyed, the restaurant in the hotel that looked like a log cabin. I can remember the name. It was like BBQ western still stuff.

eta: Wilderness Lodge it was in.. YUMMY!!

BabySammie is talking about 50s prime time - but that is in Hollywood studios (old MGM). It has items like meatloaf, chicken etc.

Honestly there isn't much of a selection if you want to eat actually IN the magic kingdom - Sit down choices are Cinderella's castle, Liberty Tree tavern, Tony's Town Square, and Crystal Palace.

Cinderella's Royal Table is probably the best of the meals - but very hard to get.

Liberty Tree taven for dinner is family style with characters.

Tony's Town Square is Italian - but from what I hear is only so so.

Crystal Palace is a character buffet (Pooh and friends).

What about a place outside of the Magic Kingdom - like one of the restaurants at EPCOT or one of the hotels? I think there are better choices at those places.

Check out this site it is menus from all the different sit down restaurants and you can see what you think people would like to eat and maybe choose that way:

That sounds like 50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney Studios where they yell at you for not eating.

Mama Melroses is italian at Disney Studios, but they don't have that atmosphere..at least when we have been there they didn't.

Concourse Steakhouse is good, although it's at the Contemporary Resort (a mono rail ride away). Crystal Place is at MK, it's a character meal though. Liberty Tree Tavern is yummy. It's a thanksgiving family style dinner. Tony's Town Square is Italian. Here's a list

Re: Magic Kingdom restaurants

Mama's is in the Hollywood Studios.

We've eaten at the Liberty Tree Tavern. It's nice.

Pricey, but then again everything there is.

They do character dinners there so you usually need to make reservations.

ETA: This is a good site to use for reference:

Why not jump on the monorail and go to one of the resort resturuants? You can do chef mickys at the contemportary or maybe Ohana's at Polynesian. Sometimes its nice to get a break from the park!

you an leave the park, jump on the monorail (or walk to the contemporary or boat to the wilderness lodge) and then re-enter the park later on. This is especailly nice on those HOT days. You should check the menus for all the restaurnts on allearsnet.com.

Yes - it is no issue you can enter and leave the park as many times as you want as long as you get your hand stamped. I would just hop on the monorail and go to the contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian for dinner - you can then get back on the monorail and go back to the park afterwards.

Contemporary has -
Chef Mickey's (character buffet)
California Grill (very nice restaurant on top of the hotel with gorgeous views but expensive)
The Wave (new restaurant)

Polynesian:
Ohana's (character breakfast, regular dinner)
Kona Cafe
Luau (dinner show)

Grand Floridian:
1800 park faire - character buffet
Citricos
Narcossee
Grand Floridian Cafe
Victoria & Alberts (but that is a formal restaurant, very expensive and you need to wear a jacket and tie for men, dress or dressy outfit - not the place to pick if you spend the day in the parks)

Or you can take the ferry to Wilderness lodge;
Artist pointe
whispering canyon cafe
