Maddie has kennel cough!!
She was heaving about every 3 hours last night from about 8:30 on ...
DH called the vet this morning and they said they've been seeing a lot of cases and to give her Robitussin DM 3x/day.
Totally sucks because she most likely got it at day camp (even though they make you get the vaccine every 6 months) and since she has it, she can't go back to camp until it's cleared.
She LOVES camp and now on those two days of the week she's going to have to be crated at home all day

aww, i am so sorry 
they get it so easily.. my dog got the bordetella then actaully got the kennel cough anyway while being boarded. i guess its not 100% effective

Yeah, supposedly the vaccine only covers 3 of the 16 strains.

I found out tests, vaccines and meds are not 100% effective either when Brinkley got roundworm after a test and after continuous treatment. 
I'm sorry about the kennel cough!! It sounds SO bad, doesn't it? We got ours the vaccine too which ironically expires tomorrow, but only because of doggie day care. I'm sure she'll be better very soon.

hershey had kennel cough when we first got him from north shore... its soo sad to see them like that!! 
i ran a hot shower and sat with him in the bathroom while he breathed in the steam 2x a day.... helped his cough A LOT!

Hmmm ... she already tries to get in the shower with DH if he leaves the door open!!

poor pooch! My Sophie had kennel cough and the vet said she had been seeing alot of it... they put her on antibiotics and I took her in for 3 days for nebulizer treatments and that worked.. hope she's better soon!

I guess this is prep for the baby ... Maddie was up every 20 mins to an hour ALL NIGHT LONG hacking/coughing/puking
