Mac Book Pro or Just Macbook
So we have a pro and are on the fence of getting another one. Perhaps give this one to my niece as she's going to college.
The question is do we need a pro or can we get away with the sleek Macbook?

Depends on what you use it for. I recently bought an Air over the New MacBook. Mainly because of the price. I don't like the Pro because I think it's too bulky, I have one provided by work.

Well we use it for just browsing and regular day to to day stuff... I'm not using it for work really... Maybe 1 time a month. I too have a laptop for work...

I would go with the MacBook. It's a sleek pretty machine.
But consider the Air if you want to save money.
I recommend going to the Apple Store and playing with them. Also they might have a deal. When I bought my Air they gave me a free pair of $200 Beats headphones.

So funny! I think I'm going to do the air... Just looked at a bunch of specs and think it's the best option if I don't do a pro...

We use our home laptop for the same reasons and we got the Air..it's awesome and so light.
I bought an external DVD player for about $30 so I can burn CDs from iTunes & watch movies sometimes but didn't want to get the Pro just got the occasional need of it.
