Lyft vs. Uber
Has anyone used Lyft on Long Island? I got a free promotion sent to my email. Was going to use uber possibly today and wondering how reliable Lyft is if I use this free promotion

I've never used Lyft on Long Island, but I used it all of the time in San Diego and it was excellent.

Lyft vs. Uber
I'm just not a fan of Lyft. I used them in NYC and had bad luck. Then I gave them another shot in FL last weekend. To pick us up from the airport they sent a driver that didn't speak English. I don't even understand why they don't give you an option? It was VERY hard to communicate with him. He kept telling me to speak into his translation thing which wasn't working properly. It was super annoying!

Lyft vs. Uber
I used Lyft recently when I came to LI for graduation. I was able to get 2 with no issues from Mineola to Hofstra and back. There were quite a lot of cars in both areas. I can’t speak for the availability elsewhere on LI.

My niece uses Lyft and Uber all the time depending on who has a better deal at the moment. She has never had an issue with either.

Lyft vs. Uber
I just used Lyft this morning. It has been fine and it was half the price of Uber. I use them both interchangeably but I prefer Uber if all things are equal. But I always check Lyft when Uber is in high demand and the prices rise.
