Luteal Phase?
I see a lot of ladies talking about luteal phases on here and the length of days--but how do you determine your luteal phase? what is it exactly?
TIA

Re: Luteal Phase?
It's the time between ovulation and AF.
You can get a better idea by figuring out when you ovulate... then counting the days until AF comes (not including the day she comes).
If AF comes 15 days after you O, your LP is 14 days - make sense?
With OPKs, you'll only know + or - 1 day of ovulation since you can't pinpoint the EXACT day that way.

Re: Luteal Phase?
Thanks a bunch--I'm sloooowly creeping into this TTC thing. So I guess I should see if I have a normal LP.
Man this stuff is overwhelming!

SO if I o'd on CD17 and got AF on CD 26, is that a 9 or 8 day LP?

8 days.
The best way to think of it is that one day can't be in 2 cycles - KWIM?
So the day you get AF can't be 9 DPO *AND* CD 1... it just becomes CD 1, then you have an 8 day LP.
