Lowering Crib mattress to floor?
Has anyone ever done this? DC started to climb out of the crib at 19m. The lowest setting on the crib is really not that low. We just put it to the lowest setting when we saw DC climbing out but it really didn't make a difference in the height. I've heard of people actually taking out the metal spring and just placing the mattress directly on the floor? Im not even sure if that will work with our crib but has anyone ever done that? Our crib converts w/ a toddler rail but DC will be all over the room with that since there is a an opening. I don't know what to do!! Please help! TIA!

That would likely not be safe, maybe consider a toddler bed?

If we put the mattress on the floor my DS would have tried to squeeze out between the bottom of the crib and the mattress.
I would just do the toddler bed. We switched from the crib to a twin at 24 months and my DS did great so you never know until you try it.
