Lower back pain
anyone get shooting pains in their lower back after you've taken gonal-f? They cancellede my IUI last Thursday morning, so my last injection was a week ago from this past Wednesday night. At dinner you would've thought someone was stabbing me in the back w/ the way I was squirming--- they're just really sharp shooting pains, but are pretty constant. I went and got a massage the other day b/c I felt like my lower back was in knots, b/c it's where I hold a lot of stress (and boy did I have stress last week)- but she worked thru all the kinks/knots and I was feeling pretty good- but now yesterday and today I have these shooting pains... any thoughts?

Re: Lower back pain
Are they on the side of your back or middle lower back? Are you still spotting? Hmmm..... I feel like your RE left you hanging here with 15 follies hanging around. Did he tell you what to expect once you cancel a cycle like this? I have no experience here.

Re: Lower back pain
They're kind of out the outside shooting inward, to the middle of my back (all lower) if that makes any sense. I'm supposed to call my RE and go in for a followup sono to make sure my ovaries are shrinking and that I haven't developed any cysts (like I did last time).
I was lightly bleeding still last night but now it's gone this morning... I'm so lost... I guess I'll have to call my dr. I just feel weird going to see him now that I've made an appointment at another place

Re: Lower back pain
Could be cysts. Back pain was a symptom for me.

Re: Lower back pain
So sorry Shannon that really sucks! I agree you should call your RE and probably go in just to get checked over. Don't feel guilty at all!!!

Re: Lower back pain
One time I had a cyst that bled mid cycle. But, i don't remember having pain, but then i dont' think it was a medicated cycle (must have been in between). I bled bright bright red and then it was over in a day. Not a lot either.
once you get in for a sono and blood work you will know what is going on.
Sorry you have to deal with this.
