Low progesterone......what's next?

I'm starting a low dose of clomid tommorow. What's in store for me? Is there a long road ahead?
TIA

Can you provide more background? Why are you starting clomid? Are you being monitored? Are you doing anything aside from taking clomid? How long have you been TTC? Have you and your husband been tested?

Thanks for the reply. Trying for a year. Husband is ok and everything was normal with me except for progesterone was only a four. All tests done by gyn haven't been to a IF doctor yet.

It's hard to say. Just based on THAT .. no, I wouldn't imagine so.... but this process is very diagnostic. In doing cycles, you learn more about what's going on... you may uncover other issues....

I started out my journey with my RE 2.5 years ago just having PCOS. Now, that's like the very LEAST of my problems Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hopefully for you, the progesterone is the only one! Chat Icon

4 progesterone means you're ovulating but just not very stong. It should really be 10 or higher. Clomid should hopefully make your ovulation stronger and/or help you produce additional eggs.

There's really no way to say whether this will help or if you'll have to do more to get pg....but you'll only know by trying.

Good luck.

this exactly

i tried clomid 2 yrs ago and it did nothing for me..we ended up needing ivf

but i knwo plenty of girls who did clomid once and it was just what they needed

as long as u r being monitored on it they will see how things go

best of luck!Chat Icon
