Low Progesterone

Question for you lovely ladies:

So, of course (even though I hate when patients do this) I am searching Dr. Google for answers. I've been spotting for the past week, in anticipation of AF. I typically spot a bit before hand, but this is starting to get ridiculous. So I did a little googling and read that this COULD be a low-progesterone issue (which could also explain some/many of my other issues). Those of you amazing ladies with low prog, did you experience this strange week long (or less) spotting before AF would show?

No, sorry :( I didn't spot longer than three or so days. But if it is low P, I *think* it's easy to fix. I used crinone during the 2ww

Re: Low Progesterone

This past cycle I spotted 4 days before AF showed up. I usually spot 2 days before. When I am being monitored I take crinone during the 2ww.

Have you had your hormone levels checked by a dr yet?

Low Progesterone

This is getting insane! It started last tuesday right before I went to see Bashian (earlier in the day). At that point it was pinkish. Since then it's been VERY spotty and VERY dark (mainly a dark brown) with some clots on Saturday. Now, it's almost nothing. I am due tomorrow (if it's a normal cycle, otherwise I'm due Thursday). Tested because I can't help myself, BFN. I HATE HATE HATE this crap!

Not yet, none of the OB's seem to want to check this... I'm so conflicted about it all. Part of me wants to believe the new doc and say ok, I'm not quite at that point where I need an RE. And yet the other part of me wants to just skip it all and go for it. But I know I have zero IF coverage, so that's the main reason why I'm as hesitant as I am go take the plunge.

Even if you have no IF coverage, the blood test should be covered or very inexpensive. Seems silly not to test that. A week of spotting is not normal. I had low progesterone and never experienced spotting for that long.

I think you need to have your hormone levels checked 1 week after you ovulate. I had been doing that for about 6 cycles so far and for one I had low progesterone and had to use suppositories. Each cycle is different and you could easy have good progesterone 1 cycle then fine for others. I would insist on getting your levels checked!!

Low Progesterone

this is so stupid, right after the first MC my cycle was normal... Now, after a stupid chemical in august, my cycle is all screwy. I am getting so fed up with it all, lol.
