Low Progesterone?
I am just wondering if it is a bad thing if my progesterone level was low (it was a 6, and the nurse from my REs office said they'd prefer it to be a 10). I did a week of 50 mg Clomid and then ovulated last week. Does having low progesterone mean I'm not pregnant? They told me to take a suppository for a week. Has anyone done this too??
Sorry for all of the questions!

Re: Low Progesterone?
No it doesn't mean that you are not pregnant... your body needs progesterone in order for your lining to not shed early (so that an embryo will have time to implant). I took crinone (a type of progesterone suppository) and that was the cycle I got pregnant.
Good luck!

Low Progesterone?
That's what they're putting me on too. Did you have any side effects from the medication?

Re: Low Progesterone?
It can indicate a few things, including poor egg quality. Talk to your RE about it and ask them to run additional tests like an AMH panel. But it doesn't mean you are not pregnant, so take the supplements to help boost the # in the mean time.

It's a hormone panel (Anti-something that sounds like malaria, LOL). But it gives you a score that relates to ovarian reserve and possible egg quality. Dr. Braverman was the ONLY RE (and I saw a bunch) that ever told me there could be a correlation between low progesterone and egg quality. My AMH came back bad and IVF proved his theory (for me anyway) when they got to see my crappy eggs. Worth asking about.

No since I was pregnant and had low progesterone to where mine dropped to a 6. In order to maintain a pregnancy it has to be above 4.

Low Progesterone?
I truly feel like I'm pregnant given I have already carried a child full term before....but I also know it could be wishful thinking! Thank you to everyone for your words of encouragement. I'm glad to know that I still Have a good chance of being pregnant.
