Re: low lying placenta at 20 week sono
I did with this pregnancy, I had to get another sono at 25 weeks bc at 20 weeks it was still covering the cervix. By the 25th week it had moved, thankfully! .. my OB told me its very likely that it wil move.on its own, I hope yours does as well!

Re: low lying placenta at 20 week sono
I had one, it wasn't previa, but it was a little low. It's moved and has never been an issue. My doctor never mentioned anything about a C due to the placenta

It can cover the cervix so vaginal birth would be too dangerous.
thanks ladies for the hope that it will fix itself!!

Is this considered placenta previa then?

I have this as well- they mentioned it at the 20 week sono. At my last sono it hadn't changed, but they seemed pretty sure it will. I'm hoping it will!!

Re: low lying placenta at 20 week sono
At my 20 week sono they saw this. I then had some bleeding a week or so later, Dr. told me it was bc placenta was directly covering cervix. Went for my 24 week apt and dr. checked and it moved!!!! He said it is still low but I can def. have a vaginal delivery! He said it could have been more of a problem if this was my first pregnancy.

With my 2nd ds I had that at 20 week sono. They had be go back in 4 weeks and it had moved. So don't stress yourself out about it.

That happened to me as well with this pregnancy, and I too was freaking out bc I didn''t want a c-section. Luckily it moved by my 26appt, the dr told me that it is more rare that it won't move.

low lying placenta at 20 week sono
I had this with my 1st; it was borderline previa and therefore I was put on pelvic rest (no sex) and no lifting.... Around 32 weeks it fixed itself.
