well the plane and luggage did land with them...I think its feasible to think that SOMEONE had packed at least a razor.

Wow very interesting about the heiroglyphics! "Cause to die"...hmmm ya think? By the way that thing (whatever it was)sounded when it was booting up... scary!!
Next episode looks really good...and from those pics it looks like they may have been doing some kind of medical experiment or exam on Claire....

I totally missed Kate's dad in that shot...
I don't think the solider was Zeke. He was played by Clancy Brown and Zeke is played by another actor. The show is so big on continuity, that I don't think they would do that. Its possible Zeke was a background guy in one of the scenes.

I didn't think of that! So true. never mind the "how many shovelfuls of dirt", let's ask about that fresh shave and neat hair.
Although Locke maintains a pretty clean cut too - or does he have a razor?
Remember, there are showers, soap, and all sorts of toiletries in the 'hatch' now ... they can easily cut hair, shave, what have you

Yea, if they DID intend it to be Zeke, they would have used them... like you said... for continuity. Plus, if it was Zeke, how much could a person age?... from the looks of it, it seems like that flashback happened like 6-10 years ago (judging by the pic of Kate as a teen).
I DO think that the soldier that made Sayid torture his commander has something to do with the Others or Dharma. Don't know why, but I think he's involved somewhere, and we'll see him again.

I recognized that guy being Kate's dad from the first scene with Sayid.. and normally I'm so bad at recognizing things on this show .. though I do NOT think they had to be SO obvious and have him holding a picture of Kate in the end to 'confirm' he was her Dad.. The fans (especially the diehard obsessive ones) easily picked up on him being Kate's dad I'm sure .. the fun of this show is figuring this stuff out
I also do not think that the other soldier was Zeke (the Other) ... I think the only similarity is the beard, but really I dont see anything else similar between the two of them

I was thinking probaby closer to 15 years - it was supposed to be during the Gulf War right? Around '91 or so.
I was totally thinking Zeke, but yeah, they probably would have used the same actor. Maybe they just made him look similar to make us THINK maybe it was him. Clever writers.

I found it funny that his name was Henry Gale and he was in a hot air balloon accident.
