Really? It was pretty obvious to me. When he came down the stairs, I said to myself, that's Kate's house. I knew they were together from an episode before the hiatus.

So I just started watching it (Thanks DVR), and its the scene with Jack and Kate in teh house.
All I can think of is, when was the last time you wore your DH's button down shirt to wander around your house?

In the opening scene, Kate's underwear was on the floor like it was a one night stand. when Jack put them in the hamper, I thought it was weird that he'd wash some random chick's underwear.
Also, I was jealous of Kate, even though Lost isn't real.
This episode was mostly  for me.
I hope that next week's episode rocks my world.

It wasn't abad episode.
So that newspaper Jack picked up said "Yankees bludgeon Red Sox in Series" hmmmmm...the last time the Bosox were swept in post season play was 2003. Making me think this epsidoe was either a dream or set in the future 
Aaron looked older than 3 right?

Yes, this was a flash forward, they've been doing this alot this season. I'm also curious how Jack comes to know that Aaron is his nephew.
I didn't think the content of the episode was bad, it was rather good since I can see things starting to pull together. It was just slow and boring.

It made me think what jack said about sawyer, in that he "made" his choice and stayed on the island...
so what's the deal about the oceanic 6 or rather "8"(the 2 that didnt make it) being the only survivors? Its obvious that ppl are left on the island, but ppl that chose to stay I find that odd.

Ok so I just finished watching last nights episode and now I am wondering if they are really dead. If Hurly speaks with Charlie which obviously freaked out Jack when he got the message. The in the coming attractions the guys says if I sound weird its because I have been dead for 12 years...but then my ? would be how could some stay dead and some be immortal.
I am glad they are putting some pieces together but I am still confused.

I saw first 2 seasons and then I stopped , I wanted to continue this season, but too much going on, I do have some idea from LIF , but still confused, can someone tell me one thing, are they still lost? What is this talk about kate's house?(I guess 2 questions)LOL, sorry I know that's not going to help me understand , I am just curious.

technically they are still "lost" but have been found by this "crew" whose agenda is not to take them off the island but rather just to find the island
Kate's house has to do with a flash forward into the future. So we know that 6 people make it off the island and go back to the "real" world, and kate lives in a house
hope that helps clear up some of the confusion

And I also actually liked last night's episode.. it was a bit slow , yes, but I like how they are showing us how Jack is starting to slowly meltdown. And I am interested in how everything with his Dad (or the 'ghost' of his Dad) is going to play out.. both for Jack and for Claire...
I actually didn't mind seeing Jack and Kate as a couple .. it didn't surprise me really to see that they wound up together. But maybe that is because I still cannot STAND KATE and I LOVE Sawyer so seeing her NOT with him for me was a win win

OK- something to think about.
Did this flashforward las night come BEFORE the one at the end of season 4.
Now people here have discussed Jack's downward spiral. But at the end of last season (the first flash-forward), Jack was already a drunk.
So is it possible that jack and kate were together/engaged/married with Aaron, and then because of his drinking, they separated. And then out of the blue he called Kate and Kate met Jack- and had to get back to "Him" (Aaron/Sawyer/anyone) And when he said we have to go back to the island, it was after last night's flashback.
