Looks like this LO will be making an early appearance!
I had my weekly appointment today and my bp was elevated again. (It was elevated last week as well) I've been on bp medication for about 3 months now and up until last week they were working. So dr. has increased my dose and is having me go to Madonna for a maternal fetal monitoring consult on thrusday and then back to him again on Friday. He said more than likely we will be inducing at 38 weeks!  I'm not at all happy about an induction as I'm hoping to go natural and I know once you start having medical intervention it's often a domino effect but I completely trust my doctor and know ultimately a healthy baby and mommmy are the most important things.
So needless to say DH and I are a little overwhelmed, we went from thinking we had almost 5 weeks to go to having more like 2.5!

I am in the same boat!! You will be fine! I have been on the highest dose of Labetalol since 20 weeks. Actually today, my high risk doc okayed it for me to go up to 400 mg 3x a day. But I am not going to be allowed past 39 weeks (I am 37 weeks now). So any day for me, unless I go into labor on my own soon! I can't be induced because of a prior c/s (although I did have a vbac as well)...
Hang in there! Enjoy it too, it's all very exciting!

Not happy you're in the same boat but glad I'm not alone! Do you know what the max dose is? I just got bumped to 300mg 3x a day. And if you don't mind me asking, what has your bp been like? Today mine was 150/100 and my doc said while it isn't emergent for at that number for someone with high bp due to pregnancy, he doesn't like that the labetalol at my former dosage is no longer controlling it.

wow how exciting!!! We have the same due date so I can see how crazy it would be to be told the baby will be here in 2.5 weeks, not 5!
How exciting though!! I feel like my time can't come soon enough

I had been told the max dose was 300 mg 3x a day (which I had been on since 20 weeks).....
I had been ok with that dose up until about 35-36 weeks, when it started to go to about 150/95... It creeped up this past week at 160/100, hence my OB and my peri doc spoke and will try me now at 400 mg 3x a day (they don't make 400 mg tablets, so I take a 300 mg and a 100 mg tablet together). I go back Friday for a re-eval at that dosage.
Because of my high BP and the fact I have GD, I've been getting NST and BPP's every week. Now I get them 2x a week. The good thing is I know the baby is doing well and is not affected by the blood pressure. Baby is estimated at 7-1 lbs and I am now 37 weeks. So my OB said 37 weeks is considered full term and baby is measuring great, so there's no concern if I go at any point.
My OB also took blood today to see if there is any liver or kidney functions that are elevated due to the high blood pressure. If yes, I will probably have a scheduled c/s by the end of the week. If the blood work comes back ok, I carry on and wait for labor!
