Looking on the bright side...
So we found out at work yesterday that the entire company is being put on a 3 day work week, instead of 5 days to save the company money. This means a 40% pay cut. 40%!!!!! (And before anyone flames, I know it could have been worse). I have a new home and a new baby, and this is just not going to be easy. Things will be tight-and I hope this does not last for long, or wind up with us being laid off.
The only bright side is, I get to spend 2 days at home with DS. I will hopefully get to see him get his first tooth, crawl, walk and maybe even word. I will get the best of both worlds -working, and being a part-time SAHM. 
I was so upset yesterday until I came home and DS went nuts with happiness bc I was home. He made it all better. I can't wait to spend this time with him.

Wow!  How much time between the announcement and it actually happening? It's a bitter sweet moment. Enjoy it while you can, and hopefully it will be temporary...

Goes into effect on the 18th. So two weeks to make sure we can cope.

This is true, I can actually bring my kid to the park if I want to!! I already signed up for a free gymboree class as well. All the things I've missed out on!!!
