Looking for help coming up with theme for an event
Need some help brainstorming. It's an annual fundraiser. The event is a ladies night out. It's held in the evening in the spring normally. I'm looking for something that would carry through from the invitations to the CPs to maybe a game or competition. Some things remain constant. We always have dinner and always have a chinese type auction. This past year's thing was a night at the races. It was a Kentucy Derby theme. It was really cute. We all wore funky hats.

I did think about a tea party theme b/c its ladies but I wasn't sure if that would be too daytime? since this is an eve event? How would you carry out that theme?

You can use martini glasses and have a SATC themed-drink for the event.
On the tables, have lots of pink and black in terms of the napkins, martini glasses, little umbrellas, etc

Another idea - Masquerade themed party where the ladies have wear/bring with them a designed mask.

added another one last night. Since they already did one that was a night at the Oscars I can't do that.
I was thinking maybe a Broadway theme. Each basket for the auction could be titled as a show. The invite could be a ticket. The program could be a playbill.

if you do SATC
the baskets could be named after characters, episode names (the post it always sticks twice) ..
the invitiation could be a skyline but girled up..little rhinestones as stars

i went to something similar and they did a whole cassino theme that was super cute. color scheme was mostly black, white and red. invites and decor had lots of playing cards, dice, roulette wheels, etc. all the servers wore tuxedo shirts, bowties, and visors like dealers at a cassino. it came out really cool!
