List your Easter Traditions...

When I was little the Easter Bunny would leave our basket right outside our door. We would empty out everything in the basket in our room and then go and look for eggs.

Then we would all eat a big breakfast.


I am looking for some new ones to start with Andrew. What are yours?

as Good Friday is a fast day and a day to abstain from eating meat, on Holy Saturday we would all get together and make a sausage bread- basically an italian bread that has every salty meat out there....
we also bake a sweet bread that we braid and put either 1,3, or 5 eggs in (I normally do 3, for the father, son & holy spirit).
Saturday I will also dye eggs with my DD- even though she'll probably be a little too young to understand...

The easter bunny came when we were sleeping, we always got chocolate bunnys and a small toy/crayons/craft.
We used to go to church for 8 am mass, then out for big breakfast.

Then we went to my grandmas for an easter egg hunt where there was always an egg with our name on it hidden with $20 bucks in it Then eat easter pies (meat and grain pies)

My other grandmother used to make bread with colored eggs in it for us and we used to get a hollow choco egg with a toy in it.

I want to pass on the same to my girls. They will be waking up at grandmas again this year and my mom does the same for them that she did for us growing up.
