Lingering smell after having oil burner serviced
We had our oil burner serviced today...they had to change the filter and some other stuff. I dont remember the smell permeating through my whole house like this in the past. I know it was very dirty. they came this morning and the smell is still pretty strong.
Is this normal? How long does it usually last for? I am more concerned b/c of DS being in the house with the smell but it just smells gross.

when my XH had his done the smell lasted like a week and when DC came home their clothes REEKED! Luckily it warmed up enough so they could air out the house.

It's normal! I hate it when they have to do ours. Ours is in the kitchen so it's all over the house.
I usually lower the heat a little so it does not kick in too much and open the windows.
