And how's this for scheduling conflicts? -- Lohan is scheduled to appear in Beverly Hills Court the same day for her Memorial Day weekend DUI bust.

Lindsay's attorney Blair Berk issued the following statement to TMZ:

"Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care."

Lindsay Lohan might be adding a whole lotta striped jumpsuits to her wardrobe.

Already facing charges for driving under the influence and misdemeanor hit and run in Beverly Hills, Lindsay racked up even more charges last night in Santa Monica, and is now facing big time jail time.

The maximum sentence she faced for the original DUI and hit and run charges was 6 months for each. Last night, Lindsay was charged with another DUI -- if convicted of both DUIs, she could face up to one year in jail. And the horror doesn't stop there! She was also charged with possession cocaine, which is a felony and carries a maximum of three years in jail.

La Lohan is accused of driving on a suspended license as well, which carries a maximum of one year in jail. Her frenemy Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days for the same offense.

As far as the allegation of bringing cocaine into a correctional facility -- our sources tell us that this charge will most likely be dropped, because it is only enforced if someone transports drugs to an inmate in custody. La Lohan didn't willingly go to jail last night!

Judges don't take kindly to arrestees whose crimes occur so close together -- so it's quite possible that the proverbial book will be thrown at her. In a worst case scenario, Lilo could face SIX YEARS in jail!

While other outlets are reporting that it was Lindsay's longtime assistant, Jenni Muro, who was involved in the late-night chase and arrest, TMZ has exclusively learned that Jenni was NOT involved in the incident, and furthermore, she was not even present at the time of Lindsay's arrest. Jenni, in fact, only learned of the arrest this morning.

TMZ has learned that it was Lindsay's second assistant who was on the scene, and from what our sources tell us, she had been relieved of her duties last night -- exactly why, we're not sure.

According to our sources, Muro has been a good friend and companion to Lohan for a long time, and is a "lovely girl."

Lindsay's rep told TMZ, "Please leave Jenni alone. She is a private citizen."

I would LOOOOOOVE to see her thrown in jail for 6 years! for one, it would certainly get her drunken azz off the streets of LA and potentially save lives!

it's 2 different court houses on in bev hills and one in santa monica

one is LA county and 1 is orange couny I think ????

TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan may not have been chasing a car at the time of her arrest. Lindsay says she was also a chase victim.

Sources connected to Lindsay tell TMZ both Lindsay, who was driving a Denali, and the Escalade in front of her, driven by the mother of Lindsay's former assistant, were both being chased in a "unsafe and threatening" manner.

We're told there may have been more than one vehicle chasing the duo, though we do not know the identities of those drivers. We could not confirm if paparazzi were chasing the cars. One thing we do know: there are no known photos of the incidents.

Michael Lohan is acting like a concerned parent, but TMZ knows better.

Lohan, who is on parole, has been ordered to stay away from Lindsay. Law enforcement sources tell us the order was issued last month by the New York State Division of Parole, Central Long Island Bureau.

In addition to staying away from Lindsay, the Parole Board ordered Michael to keep his distance from Lindsay's lawyer, Blair Berk. We're told the order was issued after Michael made "repeated, unreciprocated contacts" with Lindsay and Berk.

We're told the Board has told Lohan it will violate his parole if he attempts to make contact with his daughter or her lawyer.

TMZ has learned that in the hours before Lindsay Lohan was busted for DUI, her lawyer knew she was in trouble and was desperately trying to find her.

Sources say last Sunday, just before midnight, mega-lawyer Blair Berk got an ominous signal. The signal came from the SCRAM device that Lindsay agreed to wear on her ankle. The device tests for alcohol use and sounds an alarm to a designated person when alcohol is detected. We've learned that Berk was the designee.

As soon as Berk learned there was a problem, she frantically tried to locate Lindsay. But time ran out before Berk could stop the runaway train wreck. Less than two hours after the SCRAM device signaled, Lindsay was in custody.
