Lillette's Brides
How far in advance did you go to get your wedding dress? My Future SIL (Brother's Fiance) is getting married this November and still has not gotten her dress! I looked on their site and it said they recommend 9-12 months before the wedding, and of course they are closed Monday and Wednesday so I can't call and ask so I will call tomorrow

Re: Lillette's Brides
Depends on the designer. Lillette's is wonderful! I highly highly recommend them. If you give them the time constraints they'll be able to tell you which designer would be best to order from.

Re: Lillette's Brides
You're asking when to order? ALL salons will tell you to order 9-12 months in advance. Is it necessary? Not usually, but it's safer not to chance it. If I were her, I'd order ASAP. I ordered my dress about 9 months to the day (not from Lillette's) and they urged me to put a rush order on it. I would not though and my dress arrived in 3 months. Chances are she'll be fine, but I've seen brides order dresses 2 years in advance and still have it delayed coming in.

Re: Lillette's Brides
I ordered mine almost exactly a year before my wedding. I was told it would take 9 months, but it actually came in within 6.

Re: Lillette's Brides
Its not the store that matters its the designer. Each one is different.
I did not use that bridal salon. But my designer had my dress in 4mons.

Re: Lillette's Brides
Thank you all
Called this morning and they basically told me the same thing. That there are designers who take longer than others but is not a problem at all. But she needs to make an appointment asap. Let's just hope future SIL listens to me!

Re: Lillette's Brides
I got my BM dresses there. For a May wedding, we went and ordered them in September. So... 8 months. They were delivered in March and that's when we started the fittings.

Re: Lillette's Brides
I think I ordered about 9 months in advance. Something about some designers are closed the whole month of August? I seem to remember that.
