Lifestyle changes
Has anyone changed anything about their lifestyle that they heard might help their chances of concieving??
I've heard that you should stop drinking coffee and alcohol, stop smoking, eat healthier...
What are some thoughts you guys have about this?

ive heard them all..and although i have stopped smoking..i dont knw if i believe in all thise things..know plenty of people who got preggo while doing all those things and some who stopped everythig and tried it all and still no bfp..
i just think ttc is such a tricky subject and so many factors can play into it..but hey i mean would never knock anyone for wanting to try something to help them..dh and i have tried pretty much everything from mucinex to raspberry tea to pillow under butt etc etc and no bfp for us..so who knows

Re: Lifestyle changes
I have cut back on caffeine more for when I do get a BFP, my OB recommends no more then 1-2 cups a day and I have a serious addiction. As far as eating healthy holiday time has not been kind . I think drinking is fine in moderation while TTC as well .
I think there are women who do all of the "no-no"s and still get pregnant while others have much more difficulty. I would recommend that a smoker quit, just because smoking is harmful for the baby ( not to mention yourself, but I digress) .

Re: Lifestyle changes
I pick and choose what to cut back on. I has started to drink 1/2 caf coffee and am very diligent about taking my prenatals.

Re: Lifestyle changes
I started drinking red raspberry leaf tea in hopes that it will help regulate my cycles.
Edit: I also have been taking folic acid for a year, switched to a prental with folic acid 3 months ago, and recently started taking a DHA supplement.

Re: Lifestyle changes
I agree... I don't think you need to change everything. There are so many people who aren't trying and don't change a thing then are suddenly preggo. Just wanted to get some thoughts from you ladies.

Re: Lifestyle changes
No... I haven't changed anything and wont until I get my BFP... I feel like doing this will stress me out more. (I'm not a smoker, or heavy drinker, ect) So there is no reason for me to change what I do or eat.

Re: Lifestyle changes
I have been a healthy eater in general, and I haven't made any drastic changes. I tried to do the whole, no coffee, no sushi etc.. and it was a bust. I do love my diet coke, and I have cut down on it. I promised myself to not go nuts..

Re: Lifestyle changes
Not that my lifestyle is UNHEALTHY per se but I am not giving anything up until my BFP...
9 months is long enough without my wine
