LI IVF

I switched to Dr. Brenner and I am starting a new cycle with my next period.. The place seems really great and I've heard nothing but great things, but i have one question-- have any of you ladies gotten a bill yet? I asked the biller how much this was all going to cost me out of pocket, to prepare myself and her answer was that she didn't know yet, because this was all new to her, she actually told me to figure it would cost as much as it did @ ECF?! a little odd, what do you all think? Sorry so long

Re: LI IVF

Honestly I've been wondering the same thing. Chat Icon I have great insurance that I guess is covering everything but copays...but when do I get a bill for that. I'm afraid of what that will be when it finally hits me.

Re: LI IVF

I go to LI IVF and have Empire Gov't Plan. LI IVF is a Center of Excellence, and as a result, I do not pay ANY co pays when I go for a routine visit or a consultation. The only bills I have paid so far have been for medicine and bills from enzo for blood work ($18 each) that I get in the mail.

What insurance do you have?

OK yes Empire Gov't Plan...so FABULOUS no copays!!! You just made my day! I haven't gotten any bills from Enzo yet.

ETA I just switched to this insurance on April 1 and started right up at the dr so had no experience with it prior. Does it cover acupuncture?

Nope doesn't really cover acupuncture. The only way that they will cover acupuncture is if the person treating you is a licensed MD. Most acupucnturists aren't an MD, and the ones that are, dono'ot usually specialize in infertility

Re: LI IVF

I have Oxford, but I have only paid the pharmacy for drugs and a few random co-pays. I have had to pay co-pays immediately following procedures done at Lake Success, but for monitoring at Melville, they never ask for one. I've been 3 or 4 times already and have only received one co-pay bill in the mail.

Very weird. I'm dreading the day I find some ginormous bill in the mailbox...

Re: LI IVF

ITA. I have GHI, so we are responsible for 25%. Im just dreading being told - tomorrow you have to pay us 3000$. I like to plan ahead and prepare myself. @ ECF the biller told me before i even started the process what i was going to be responsible for.

Re: LI IVF

I see Doc Breener too.. nice guy.. i was wondering about my bill as well and i have the Empire Gov. plan as well; I noticed on the slip that they give you in the waiting room on the bottom it will say the balance, then if you keep track of it it goes away when the insurnce sends them a check.. i saw mine the other day it was about 1,500 owed.. and i havent had er yet.. just at the point to start my meds.. so thats not too bad... When i was at NSLIJ it was reduclious amount.. the insurance at the time would only cover blood work..
happy i left there they treated me like a lab rat.. I love LI IVF, they dont do that..
